Kokedama — The Art of the Japanese Moss Ball

A plant held in a sphere of moss and soil. Japan in your hands.

Kokedama is one of the most sensory botanical arts: you work the soil with your bare hands, shaping and wrapping. No pot needed. The moss holds everything together. In this workshop, you choose your plant, prepare the potting mix, form the ball and bind it with string. The result can be hung, set down or given as a gift. Every kokedama is unique, because every pair of hands is unique.
