The strength of the unseen

Before bursting into colour, a plant works in the dark. Underground, things stir, dig, anchor. Everything happens where no one is looking.

In our age of instant images, we forget this underground phase. We want the flowers without taking time for the roots.

Perhaps we should learn to cherish our periods of underground silence and unseen work before trying to shine.
