Indoors, leaves quickly gather a fine layer of dust. It dulls the foliage and slows photosynthesis: the plant captures less light. Our ready-to-use black soap for plants gently removes this dust — spray, wipe, and the leaf gets its colour and shine back.
What it does
- Clean leaves, free of dust and residue.
- More light for the plant: a clean leaf captures more of it.
- A moment with your plants: cleaning them means looking at them up close and spotting problems early.
How to use it
- Shake the bottle before use.
- Spray the leaf, top and underside.
- Wipe with a cleaning glove, such as our plant cleaning gloves, or a soft cloth, supporting the leaf with your other hand.
- Avoid applying in direct sun: use it in the morning or late in the day.
- Once a month, or whenever dust shows. On a plant you don't know yet, try it on a single leaf first.
Which plants
Plants with smooth foliage: Monstera, Ficus, Philodendron, Calathea, Strelitzia, Alocasia… Avoid hairy leaves (African violets) and succulents covered in a powdery bloom, which protects them.
What to pair it with
Once the leaves are clean, spray our
seaweed foliar feed: it settles better on clean foliage. Spotted tiny bugs, sticky residue or fine webbing? Send a photo to our
Plant Doctor and we'll tell you what to do.
Frequently asked questions
Black soap for plants or hammam black soap?
Hammam black soap is made for skin: it is thick, highly concentrated and often scented. Ours is prepared for foliage and ready to use, with nothing to measure out.
Does it need diluting?
No: use it as it is, as a spray.
How often should you clean your plants?
Once a month is usually enough. More often near a window that opens onto the street, or when the chergui wind blows.
Good to know: do not swallow; keep out of reach of children and pets. Store the bottle closed, away from heat and sunlight.
