Description
Golden pothos (Epipremnum aureum) is often the first plant people succeed with. Its heart-shaped leaves, green marbled with yellow or cream, grow on stems that climb or trail. This is a large specimen trained on a natural pole: it instantly brings height and volume to a room.

Where to place it
Anywhere with a little natural light: living room, entrance, office, bathroom. The more light it gets, the more its leaves are marbled with yellow; in a dark corner they turn greener, but the plant holds on.
Caring for your golden pothos
- Water when the soil is dry halfway down: it copes with neglect better than excess.
- Tie new stems to the pole as they grow.
- Clean the leaves from time to time to keep them glossy.
- Feed it once a month in spring and summer with root feed for foliage plants.
The right potting mix
It isn't fussy: a light potting soil lightened with perlite is all it needs. Our Alocasia and tropical plant mix also suits it very well.
Mistakes to avoid
- Watering on a fixed schedule without checking the soil: the number one cause of yellow leaves.
- Full sun through a window: the leaves fade and scorch.
- Leaving it in a cold draught in winter.
Frequently asked questions
Its leaves are yellowing — what should I do?
One or two old yellow leaves now and then is normal. If several turn yellow at once, it's almost always overwatering: let the soil dry out for longer.
Every plant is chosen and checked at the studio before it leaves. Delivery anywhere in Morocco, or collection from our studio in Rabat. A plant that arrives damaged will be exchanged: let us know within 48 hours with a photo.
