Description
The Aglaonema Silver Queen is one of the hardiest houseplants there is. Its long leaves are almost entirely silver, flecked with dark green, brightening corners where few other plants survive. It grows slowly, stays compact and forgives forgetfulness. Available in a 12 or 18 cm pot.
At a glance
| Botanical name | Aglaonema 'Silver Queen' |
|---|---|
| Pot | 12 or 18 cm |
| Light | low to medium, no direct sun |

Where to place it
In a hallway, an entrance, an office away from the window or a bathroom. It copes with low light better than almost any other foliage plant.
Caring for your Aglaonema Silver Queen
- Water when the surface of the soil is dry, less often in winter.
- Keep it above 15 °C and away from cold draughts.
- Wipe the leaves from time to time.
- A feed of root feed for foliage plants once a month in spring and summer is enough.
The right potting mix
A light, free-draining potting mix, such as our Alocasia and tropical plant mix.
Mistakes to avoid
- Overwatering, especially in a dark corner where the soil dries slowly.
- Direct sun.
- Cold: the leaves develop dark spots.
